Duke University Health System has named its new president and CEO: Eugene Washington, MD, the current CEO of UCLA Health System.

In addition to his role as CEO of UCLA Health, Dr. Washington now serves as vice chancellor for health sciences, dean of the David Geffen School of Medicine. He is also a professor of gynecology and health policy. Before joining UCLA in February 2010, he served as executive vice chancellor and provost at the University of California, San Francisco.
